“I spent seven years formulating for big beauty. This is the first moisturizer I've put on my kids without reading the label twice — because I wrote it, and it's four words long.”

Made by two people with 22 years inside L’Oréal, Estée Lauder, Natura & The Body Shop

Four ingredients. Reading the label takes four seconds. That's the point.

  • Grass-fed beef tallow (70%) — the fat closest in structure to your skin's own sebum, naturally carrying vitamins A, D, E and K.
  • Raw honey — a natural humectant that draws moisture in and holds it there.
  • Calendula — the old apothecary standby for soft, comfortable skin.
  • Olive oil — makes every scoop glide on smooth.

No water, so nothing needs preserving. No “parfum,” because we've both stood in the labs where “parfum” gets invented.

One tin covers the whole house: baby's cheeks, mama's belly, dad's winter hands, everyone's elbows.

Here's the moment this brand started: standing in the kitchen, moisturizer freshly applied, eating a mango with bare hands — and realizing everything on those hands was about to be dinner. If you wouldn't eat your skincare's ingredient list, why wear it? Ours you could read to your grandmother without translating.

We spent 22 years inside big beauty. This is what we make now.

Between the two of us, we've formulated, launched, and marketed skincare at L’Oréal, Estée Lauder, Natura, and The Body Shop. We know exactly what goes into a $60 moisturizer — and how much of it is water, emulsifier, and fragrance designed in a conference room. F-Balm is the opposite bet: 70% grass-fed tallow, raw honey, calendula, olive oil. Nothing to hide, so nothing is hidden.

Why tallow, of all things?

Because it's the closest match nature offers to your skin's own sebum. Grass-fed tallow arrives with vitamins A, D, E, and K already in it — not added back in a lab — and its fatty-acid profile lets it absorb like it belongs there.

  • Comforts dry, tight-feeling skin
  • Locks moisture in for hours, not minutes
  • Leaves skin looking smooth and supple

Then we raided the old apothecary shelf.

Raw honey pulls moisture into the skin and keeps it there — beekeepers' hands have known this for centuries. Frankincense resin brings the warm, earthy scent people have prized for three thousand years. No perfume house required.

  • A natural, lit-from-within glow
  • Honey's time-tested humectant pull
  • A calm, grounding aroma — from resin, not “fragrance”

F-Balm vs. The Others

F-Balm Standard Lotion
Ingredients 4, all pronounceable 25+ synthetics
Absorption Sinks in like sebum Sits on the surface
Vitamins A, D, E, K — naturally present Added back in a lab
Water content 0% — every gram is active 70–80% water
Shelf life Naturally stable, no preservatives needed Preserved to survive the warehouse
Made by Two ex-big-beauty formulators who left The conference room we left

Three steps. Thirty seconds.

  1. Scoop a little — the back of a fingernail's worth. Trust us, it's enough.
  2. Warm it — a few seconds between your palms and the firm balm melts into a silky oil.
  3. Press it in — onto damp skin, right after washing. Damp skin is the trick; the honey seals the water in.

Questions, answered

What exactly is F-Balm?

A 2 oz tin of skincare with four ingredients: 70% grass-fed beef tallow, raw honey, calendula, and olive oil. No water, no preservatives, no fragrance. We spent two decades making conventional skincare before deciding this was the version worth putting our names on.

Does it smell like a cow?

No. Properly rendered grass-fed tallow is nearly scentless — that's the difference between small-batch rendering and industrial shortcuts. What you'll smell is the warm, earthy frankincense.

Will it make me break out?

Tallow's fatty-acid profile closely mirrors your skin's own sebum, which is exactly why so many people with reactive skin end up here. Every skin is different, so do what we did in the lab for 22 years: patch test on your inner arm for 24 hours first.

How much should I use?

A pea-sized amount does your whole face. This is a 0%-water product — a 2 oz tin is the working equivalent of a much bigger bottle of lotion, because there's no filler to spread.

Where can I use it?

Face, lips, hands, elbows, heels, baby's cheeks, mama's belly, beard, cuticles. One tin, whole household.

How long does a tin last?

2–3 months of daily face use; 4–6 weeks if the whole family gets into it (they will).

Shipping & returns

Ready to read your last ingredient label?

Four ingredients. Two ex-industry formulators. One tin for the whole family.

Made in small batches from grass-fed tallow. If you wouldn't eat it, we didn't put it in.
